At Spruce Lodge we have a number of trainers /coaches who are available to teach at the centre together with holding a number of Training Clinics at Spruce Lodge. It is also possible by arrangement for groups to bring their own trainers and utilise the facilities at Spruce Lodge.


The choice and variety of training facilities at Spruce Lodge allows riders of all ages and abilities to progress under the watchful eye of their trainers.

2014 saw Judy have a very successful run of results with over 10 top 10 placings at International competitions on Vancouver K with whom she also became Irish National Champion having contested the championships at Cavan.

During her career, Anne Marie has successfully produced dressage horses for all levels of competition from young horses to Grand Prix, winning numerous National and Regional championship titles and has represented Ireland at International Dressage Competitions throughout Europe.


Paul has been involved in horses since a very young age, growing up through the pony club.


William's educational presentations and aricles are wide ranging,  covering all equestrian disciplines and coach education for all sports.  In particular his innovative structures for improving performance,  The GO! Rules and The Winning EDGE, have received wide praise.


Niall is a tutor for Horse Sport Ireland and delivers courses for coaches at levels 1, 2 and 3. He has developed training at all 3 levels which have been adopted by the FEI throughout the world.


Conrad Schumacher has trained over 3000 students throughout the world including the British Dressage Team for the Sydney Olympics.
